Power Transformers

Electrical Transformer

Power Transformers are critical components in the transmission and distribution of electrical power in utility and industrial applications. These transformers are designed to handle high voltage levels and large power capacities, making them suitable for stepping up or stepping down voltages in power transmission networks.

Constructed with oil-immersed technology, Power Transformers provide superior cooling and insulation, enhancing their performance and longevity. The cooling options, including ONAN, ONAF, OFAF, and OFWF, ensure efficient heat dissipation under various load conditions, maintaining optimal operating temperatures.

The windings, made from high conductivity copper or aluminum, ensure excellent electrical performance and longevity. The core is constructed from high-grade grain-oriented silicon steel, which minimizes core losses and maximizes efficiency. Advanced insulation systems using materials like kraft paper, pressboard, and high-temperature oil are employed to withstand electrical and thermal stresses.

Manufactured in compliance with international standards such as IEC 60076 and ANSI/IEEE C57.12, these transformers guarantee high quality and performance. Safety features like Buchholz relay, oil conservator, pressure relief devices, and temperature monitoring systems are incorporated to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Power Transformers are available in a range of capacities from 5 MVA to 500 MVA, catering to different power system requirements. They are ideal for use in power generation plants, substations, and industrial facilities, providing reliable and efficient power transmission and distribution.
